Federal Skilled Trades Program
A class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada as Workers in a skilled trade occupation and their intention to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec.

Requirements
✓ Plan to live outside the province of Quebec
✓ Meet the required levels in English or French for each language ability (CLB 5 in speaking and listening, CLB 4 in reading and writing)
✓ Have at least two years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in a skilled trade within the five years before you apply : work experience does not need to be continuous and must be acquired after obtaining the correspondent qualifications to perform the job.
✓ Meet the job requirements for that skilled trade as set out in the National Occupational Classification (NOC), except for needing a certificate of qualification.
✓ Have an offer of full-time employment from up to two employers for a total period of at least one yea or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.
